The institution audits financial aid programs as required by federal and state regulations.
Judgement of Compliance
The College certifies compliance.
Cleveland Community College demonstrates compliance with this comprehensive standard by providing evidence the financial aid programs are audited by the North Carolina Office of the State Auditor in accordance with federal and state regulations. The State Auditor’s practice is to perform a comprehensive financial audit of each college’s financial statements annually.
The annual compliance audits conducted by the North Carolina Office of the State Auditor are part of the Statewide Single Audit (2014-15, 2013-14, and 2012-13). The College’s last audits for the Title IV programs have met the federal requirements. Additionally, the Fiscal Operations Report and Application to Participate (FISAP 2016-17, 2015-16, and 2014-15) is completed and electronically submitted to the Department of Education in accordance with federal requirements. The FISAP serves as documentation of expenditures for federal financial aid programs.
Cleveland Community College is in compliance with Comprehensive Standard 3.10.2 as evidence of being audited as requested by the State of North Carolina and the U.S. Department of Education.
Further Title IV supporting documentation on the financial aid programs at the College can be found in Federal Requirement 4.7.
