  Real Estate Pre-Licensing Course09/23/2017 - 12/23/20179:00 AM - 4:00 PM

This 78-hour course will prepare the student to take the North Carolina Real Estate Licensing Examination. This course provides instruction in real estate principles and practices, including real estate law, financing, brokerage, closing valuation, management, and taxation. The student will also learn about residential building construction, land use, the real estate market, the North Carolina Real Estate Licensing Law, and the rules/regulations of the North Carolina Real Estate Commission. Students must be 18 years old to this course and the exam. Students must attend 80% of all the classes to get credit for the course. The student must pass the final exam for the course with a grade of 80% or higher to be eligible to sit for the North Carolina Real Estate Commission Broker Licensing Exam.

The National Career Readiness Certificate is a nationally recognized credential valid in all 50 states. It is used by employers a to gauge a job candidates competencies in Locating Information, Applied Mathematics, and Reading Comprehension. Some companies in Cleveland County require or prefer job candidates earn a the NCRC credential before applying for a job. Students who complete the NCRC exam can earn a Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum Certificate. Students enrolled in the class will take a pretest to measure current skill levels in all three areas of the test. Each student is given the opportunity to practice test questions in order to raise their scoring for the final exam.
