Cleveland Community College permits admission with transfer credit for students from accredited colleges and universities. Whenever possible, all transfer students will receive a letter stating the official record of transcript or official record of test scores has been evaluated and appropriate credit awarded. Students are encouraged to contact an advisor for proper course placement.
Students must have official (original and sealed) college transcripts and/or official record of test scores sent to Cleveland Community College for evaluation. Courses accepted for transfer credit must closely parallel those for which credit is sought at the College. For a course to be considered for transfer, the student must have earned a "C" or higher. Transfer credit is not awarded for course work taken on a non-credit basis. Grades and quality points do not transfer.
Other Types of Credit – Cleveland Community College also awards credit for Military training, AP examinations, CLEP examinations, Experiential Learning and Credit by Exams. For more information on any of these types of credits, please refer to the Academic Regulations section of the Academic Bulletin & Student Handbook.
