Business Administration - Marketing and Retailing (AAS) A2512F

Marketing and Retailing, a concentration under the curriculum title of Business Administration, is designed to provide students with fundamental skills in marketing and retailing.

Course work includes: marketing, retailing, merchandising, selling, advertising, computer technology, and management.

Graduates should qualify for marketing positions within manufacturing, retailing, and service organizations.

Students seeking a degree must earn a grade of "C" or higher on any of the following courses presented for graduation:

ENG 111, Writing & Inquiry; ENG 112, Writing/Research in the Disciplines, or ENG 114, Professional Research & Reporting; COM 231, Public Speaking, or COM 110, Introduction to Communication; CIS 110, Introduction to Computers (or another approved computer course) and MAT 143, Quantitative Literacy (or another approved mathematics course). Any course approved by the North Carolina Community College System and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges as a core requirement will be accepted.
