Returning to Campus - May 29, 2020
On Wednesday, May 20, NC Governor Cooper signed Executive Order #141, easing restrictions on travel, business operations and mass gatherings. Phase 2 went into effect on May 22 at 5:00 PM and will extend through 5:00 PM on June 26, unless rescinded, repealed or replaced by another Executive Order.
On June 8, the College will begin its return to normal operations. We are excited for employees and students to return, and while some things may look different than what you are used to, rest assured our primary goal is the health and safety of our CCC family.
June 8 is the first day of summer session. Although most classes are online, some students will also return to campus this day. The information provided below will help you as you return to campus:
- The campus will be open for face-to-face advising, registration and other business. We strongly recommend students schedule an appointment with their advisor prior to coming on campus to ensure social distancing is maintained for employees and students.
- Virtual advising and registration will continue.
- Masks are encouraged, but not required.
- The Rose Library will be open only to students during Phase 2.
Sanitation stations will be placed throughout each building on campus and will be refilled regularly. The College will continue to monitor local and state health guidelines. We will adapt and adjust as circumstances change.
