This course is designed to provide a comprehensive study of the reproduction of beef cattle. Topics include beef cattle genetics and an in-depth examination of the science and procedures associated with natural service, estrus cycles and ovulation, expected progeny differences, artificial insemination, and embryo transfer. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the science and procedures associated with breeding beef cattle.
