This course will take each student through the process of knife design and purpose. Various materials available to makers, styles of knives, and their application will be discussed. Each student will receive hands on, one on one, instruction. After topics of safety concerns and equipment are discussed, each student will be given one chef knife blank made from CPM 154 CM cryogenically heat-treated stainless steel. Each student will make their own 8'' chef knife and live edge maple cutting board.
