Students will be taught the primitive techniques of hand-building. Objects will include figures, tools, and utilitarian pieces. Topics will include centering, using potter’s tools, throwing basic and intermediate forms, trimming, handling, glazing, and firing an electric kiln. Many decorative techniques will be explored as well. Students will need to bring pottery tools.
