The National Career Readiness Certificate is a nationally recognized, research-based, portable credential that certifies essential skills needed for success in the workplace. It’s used by employers to gauge a job candidate’s competencies in Applied Math, Graphics Literacy and Workplace Documents. Some companies in Cleveland County require or prefer job candidates to earn the NCRC credential before allowing them to apply for jobs. Students enrolled in the NCRC online class will take the pre-assessment (practice test questions) to gauge their current level in all three sections of the NCRC to ensure they are ready to take the exam. The online class also gives students an opportunity to skill up on any section to raise their skill level before taking the final exam. Students who complete the NCRC exam can earn a Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum certificate. CCC offers a credit-by-credential for Humanities 115; Critical Thinking to students who score a Gold or above on the NCRC exam.
