Cleveland Community College has been ranked second on Schools.com’s Best Community Colleges in North Carolina.
The website uses data from the National Center for Education Statistics to score each school on a 10-point scale. Six data points are used including the percentage of students enrolled in distance education, cost of attendance, and student-to-faculty ratio.
In addition, CCC has been ranked eighth on NursingDegrees.com for its quality nursing programs. The website gathers information and ranks undergraduate and graduate degree nursing programs throughout the country. This site also uses data from the National Center for Education Statistics. According to the website, they ranked 6,758 U.S. institutions, using different methodologies for undergraduate and graduate schools.
Eleven criteria were used for the undergraduate rankings. Those include the number of associate-level degree programs offered to nursing-related majors, tuition, retention rate, and graduation rate.
“Cleveland Community College is a high-quality institution that makes a real difference in our community,” said Jason Hurst, president of CCC. “These top-ten rankings illustrate how hard our faculty and staff work to help our students succeed.”
