Earn while you learn!

Apprenticeship Cleveland is a combination of on-the-job training and practical classroom instruction that prepares participants for high-skilled careers with local industry partners. Apprenticeship programs are sponsored by a local employer where the apprentice will benefit from paid employment and on-the-job training.

Upon successful completion, the apprentice qualifies for a nationally-recognized certification as a “journey worker” in a skilled trade and an academic credential from Cleveland Community College.

Benefits of Apprenticeship include:

  • Paid employment during training with progressive wage increases
  • Opportunity to learn skills needed by employers throughout the industry
  • A more secure career and the ability to adapt to new job requirements
  • Credit toward a diploma or certificate for completion of the apprenticeship program

Apprenticeship Partners

Apprenticeship programs are industry-driven, structured training methods that allow employers to attract and develop new talent or use existing full-time employees to earn while they learn. There is no cost for employers to participate.

I really like maintenance work. I’ve always worked with my hands, and that’s something I’ve always wanted to do. My biggest thing was, I was just scared of going back to school.
