The Small Business Center at CCC is a community-based provider of education, confidential counseling, referral, and information. The objective is to increase the success rate and the number of viable small businesses in Cleveland county by providing high-quality, readily accessible professional assistance to entrepreneurs as well as prospective and existing small business owners, which leads to job creation and retention.

Confidential Business Counseling

Need help determining the steps to start your business? Need assistance with marketing your new business or brand? The Small Business Center provides free, one-on-one confidential counseling for your small business or startup venture. Whether you need help with developing a business plan, cash flow management, or legal assistance, we can provide expert assistance you need. The Small Business Center provides clients access to free professional services and individualized counseling, advice and referrals to client in areas such as:
  • Accounting
  • Marketing and branding
  • Web Design and Social Media
  • Legal advice

Business Seminars

The Small Business Center at Cleveland Community College is a part of the statewide Small Business Center Network (SBCN), a community college funded initiative focused on supporting and strengthening entrepreneurs and small businesses in the local community. In partnership with the SBCN, the Small Business Center offers free business seminars.

The Small Business Center is a part of the NC Community College Small Business Center Network and a member of the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship (NACCE). In addition to these partnerships, Cleveland County is designated as a Certified Entrepreneurial Community, with the Small Business Center serving as the sponsoring organization.

The Certified Entrepreneurial Community program is an economic development strategy that helps communities become entprepreneur-ready. A Certified Entrepreneurial Community designation signifies that this is a place where entrepreneurs succeed.
