Improve Your College Experience with SGA
The Student Government Association is a great way for you to get involved on campus and let your voice be heard. You will meet new people, gain leadership experience and most of all have fun! SGA sponsors activities that benefit our students, the college, and the community. If you are a student who loves being part of a team, and you have fun and exciting ideas to bring to CCC, then SGA may be for you!
SGA Qualifications
To qualify for SGA, you must maintain a 2.5 or above cumulative GPA per semester and have a flexible schedule that will allow you to participate in most of the planned campus events, activities and meetings.
If you are a rising senior with Cleveland Early College High School, you are also eligible to apply. We are very excited and optimistic for the upcoming year and look forward to bringing in new faces and new ideas. If you are interested, please APPLY TODAY!

A Message from the President
My name is Maria “Nely” Rivera-Guerrero. I am a proud first-generation student and am honored to be the Student Government Association president.
I joined SGA in hopes of being a part of something that would make a difference. My goals are to create a more diverse student government so that we can represent everyone to the best of our abilities, showing that there is a space open for everyone and that there is a familiar face who is passionate about student life for all our fellow Yetis. I also seek to improve student involvement and awareness for our SGA while creating an inviting atmosphere on campus so students not only see but feel our support here at CCC.
Another focus I have is to share CCC with the community by doing more community service so that we can proudly say we serve our college, our students and our community.
While searching to make a difference in and through the SGA, it has already begun to make a difference in me. SGA has helped me improve my skills in many areas, given me an unmatched support system by creating bonds, and given me an avenue to become a better person and leader, one whom students can come to for help. I am grateful to represent CCC as we all work together to improve the experiences of others.

Beth Reinhardt SGA Senator
My name is Beth Reinhardt. I am pursuing a degree in Business Administration & Visual Fine Arts. In my spare time, I enjoy skydiving, working with zoo animals, and parasailing.
My name is Angel Haney-White. I am a 55 year old mom to one incredible daughter, and a 2nd year student here at CCC, working on my Associate in Visual Arts. I enjoy music, traveling, spending time with my daughter and our dog Loaf Bread.
My name is Maggie Alexander. I am a senior at Cleveland Early College High School. I plan to attend High Point University and double major in Psychology and Neuroscience with a Pre-OT track. I work at Cline's Nursey and have picked up gardening as a hobby.
My name is Maria “Nely” Rivera-Guerrero. I am am majoring in Associate in Science student here at CCC with plans to transfer to a 4-year and major in psychology. My current hobbies include baking and reading, but I am discovering new interests.
Hello! My name is Brooke Porter. I'm a senior at Cleveland Early College High School. I'll graduate in spring of 2024 with my diploma, associate degree and a Bio-Tech certificate. I have over 975 logged community service hours. I currently serve as Junior Civitan International Director, NC State Director and CECHS President. I'm also a member of Beta Club, National Honor Society, and yearbook editor. This summer I participated in the Governor Page program and attended a medical convention in Massachusetts. My hearts goal is to become a doctor and give back to society.
Hey, I am Ja'Zavier Browning, a senior at Cleveland Early College High School. I enjoy playing video games, listening to music, and having a good time with friends. After I finish Early College I plan on going to A&T to get my bachelor in engineering.
My name is Taylor Hamilton. I am a senior at Cleveland Early College High School. I plan to attend Winston- Salem State University and major in Chemistry on a Pre-Pharmacy track. In my spare time I enjoy listening to music and reading.
My name is Helenia Lawrence I am a 2023 Graduate of Crest high school. I am majoring in exercise science. After graduating from CCC I plan to transfer to Western Carolina University to become a athletic trainer.
I am a senior at Cleveland Early College High School. After graduating I hope to go UNC -Chapel Hill and major in computer science and continue on to get my PhD .
