Enrollment Steps for Degree-Seeking Students

Upon receipt of your admissions application, an acceptance email and information for setting up your student accounts were sent to the personal email address provided on your application. Please visit the Student Account Set-Up information page for help with setting up your accounts, including Blackboard, Self-Service, MySuccess, cccAlert, and student email, CCC’s official means of communication.

For reference, your user name is your last name, or the first eight letters of your last name if it is longer than eight letters, the first letter of your first name, and the last three digits of your student ID number. Example: John Washington (student ID 1234567) Username: washingtj567. Your student email is your username@my.clevelandcc.edu. Your initial password is your four digit birth year, CCC#, the last three digits in your student ID. Example: 2002CCC#567

All new students, or students who have had a lapse in enrollment and are returning to CCC are required to complete an online New Student Orientation. This orientation can be found in your CCC student accounts portal and aims to prepare you for college by providing an in-depth look at our programs, support services, student life, college expectations, and a variety of other topics you need to know. You will not be able to register for classes until this orientation has been completed.

Academic advisors are here to help you succeed. We will help you create a plan to ensure that with each completed class you move closer to your goal, whether you want to earn an associate degree, a diploma, or a certificate. Your advisor will help determine if you may be exempt from placement testing. If you don’t qualify for testing exemptions that’s ok, we offer resources to help you prepare! Please plan to meet with your advisor before you begin your program of study. Appointments are encouraged to ensure your advisor is  available when you come to our campus. Your advisor’s contact information is located in your MySuccess app and the Academic Advisor Directory.
