Meet the ACE Team

I have been at CCC since 2017 and work as the ACE Coordinator. My background is in English and writing, but I enjoy working in various subjects. I love tutoring because I get to watch students gain confidence in their own skills and because I get to stay a student forever!

I tutor in literature and writing in all subjects, as well as history, psychology, and other social sciences. Building student confidence is my favorite part of tutoring. When I’m not working, I enjoy creative writing and music composition/performance.

Hello! I am a writing and basic computer skills tutor. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Brevard College. I am currently getting my Master’s in mental health counseling. In my free time I love reading and being outdoors. I am so excited to assist students and watch them grow!

I am a graduate of the Practical Nursing program here at CCC. I am here to help with Practical Nursing, Microbiology, and Anatomy and Physiology. I enjoy my free time sitting in a rocking chair with a cup of coffee and a good book in my hands.

I am a second-year nursing student here at CCC. I completed my first associates degree in 2022 and have worked in an independent pharmacy as a technician for the past three years. I am excited to help support you in your journey through nursing school!

Hey there! My name is Jacob, and I’m a nursing student graduating in Spring 2025. I’ve got a solid background in education. Before diving into nursing, I was a tutor and lab assistant/instructor at Gaston College, where I helped students tackle BIO-168 and BIO-169. I also teach some classes at my hospital. I’ve worked with all kinds of learning styles, so let’s find what works best for you and get those grades up this semester. I’m looking forward to making learning fun and effective together!

Hello! I am a current CCC student planning to be a history teacher! I enjoy writing papers and reading too. Other than tutoring, I close the Ingles bakery. I love listening to music and drawing characters outside of work!

Hello! I’m our administrative support, usually at the Welcome Desk in the Lab. I recently graduated from CCC with my associate degree, and I’m looking forward to another great year here in a more permanent role! Outside of work, I enjoy garment sewing, video games, and studying material culture of the 18th century.

Hello! I am excited to be tutoring for the radiography program. I graduated at CCC May 2024 with my associates in radiography. In my free time I enjoy late night bonfires and spending time with my 2 children. I’m excited to help students and share my passion of radiography with them.

I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2023 and joined the nursing (ADN) program at CCC that same year; I also have a background in sociology with a focus in public health and statistics. I love all things biology and health related and have a passion for teaching others, especially in ways that work for them. I am always happy to help, so if you need assistance, let me know!

I have completed the phlebotomy program at CCC and taken some radiography courses as well. I am tutoring in several different areas, and I enjoy helping people find what works for them when it comes to school! In my free time, I enjoy making decorated sugar cookies, crafting, and spending time with my family.

My name is Cursten. I recently graduated from CCC with my diploma in Phlebotomy. I am also a current student at CCC working towards my associate in Medical Assisting. I am also going to be tutoring in Phlebotomy. In my spare time I like to spend time with my kids and be very spontaneous.

Hi friends! I am so excited to be a part of ACE! I tutor math and whatever is thrown my way! I genuinely enjoy helping in any way that I can when it comes to education! Fun fact about me – I thought that math was my least favorite subject up until high school (I even failed it once)! Math can be quite persnickety, but I would love to show you how absolutely amazing it can be!
