- Local Competencies
- Course can be used for students with an expired or amended credential
- Technical Scope of Practice required if credential has expired or is amended (will be discussed on a case-by-case basis)

2025 Specialty Class Dates
EMS Instructor Methodology – Hybrid Delivery
The purpose of this course is to provide students who are clinically competent in a specific EMS content area with instructional knowledge, resources and skills to effectively deliver quality EMS education. This course presents educational concepts, practices and resources across a wide range of educational topics, from the basic psychology of learning to classroom management, to ethical issues in education, to student and course evaluation. The course focuses on instructional preparation, presentation, and evaluation, and represents consensus among professional EMS educators as to essential knowledge, skills and practices required to provide quality EMS educational programs. This class meets the NC OEMS requirements to apply for Level I EMS Instructor.

- Student Qualifications:
- Currently credentialed as an EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic
- Possess a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency certificate
- Proof of associate degree, or proof of enrollment in associate degree program strongly encouraged
- 3 years EMS field experience strongly encouraged
The Difficult Airway Course: EMS
The Difficult Airway Course: EMS (TDAC:EMS) is regarded as a premier educational program in the area of airway management. This two-day program in out-of-hospital airway will equip providers to more effectively meet the challenges of comprehensive airway management in the field. Furthermore, this course is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE).
Presented by Camden Education Unlimited, LLC this two-day, 16-hour, immersion style program, emphasizing basic and advanced airway anatomy and physiology, basic and advanced airway management psychomotor skills, and proven techniques to identifying airways that pose predictable management challenges. Curriculum includes review and discussion of pharmacologic agents used to attenuate normal physiological response to airway management, including the latest evidence-based science toward rapid sequence intubation using sedatives and paralytics. Additionally, this course provides a hands-on surgical airway lab.

12 Lead ECG Interpretation
Presented by Camden Education Unlimited LLC, this course will teach students to quickly and reliably interpret ECG sinus, atrial, junctional, and ventricular rhythms, as well as identify ectopic impulses.
