The EMT program introduces basic emergency medical care. Topics include preparatory, airway, patient assessment, medical emergencies, trauma, infants and children, and operations. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve North Carolina State or National Registry EMT certification.

EMT Class – Didactic/Classroom
Requirements: High School Diploma or GED. Please bring a copy with you to the first class meeting. Must be age 17 by end date of class.
If a student is under the age of 18 or does not possess a high school diploma nor GED, they must pass a Reading Assessment Exam prior to entry into class.
*Students who have an affiliation with a North Carolina Fire Department or EMS Agency are Registration Fee Exempt. ALL STUDENTS MUST PAY $1.30 ACCIDENT INSURANCE FEE.

Immunization Records: Student bears cost, if necessary, with their health provider.
