College and Career Readiness Celebrates Graduates
On Thursday, July 11, CCC held a graduation ceremony for students in our College and Career Readiness program. This year, 29 students completed credentials to earn their high school diploma, with 19 students walking across the stage.
The Keeter Auditorium was filled with family and friends, gathered to cheer, clap and celebrate the students’ accomplishments. Program Director Stephen Lancaster gave the keynote speech, encouraging the students not to stop but to continue on their path to success. He spoke of the challenges many of the students overcame to complete the program. He reminded them that when things got tough, they kept going and that persistence brought them to this moment.
Lancaster asked the students, “What will you do next?” He told them that this accomplishment shows everyone that they are resilient and capable of great things. He encouraged them to continue learning.
