In an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) has launched an official statewide Exposure Notification app, SlowCOVIDNC. The app is free to download and does not collect or share personally identifying or location information.
The goal of the app is allow users who have tested positive for COVID-19 to anonymously share those results with other app users. If another user has been in close contact with that person, they will receive a notification of possible exposure. So, the more people who download the app, the better it works. At no time is anyone’s identity known or shared.
An app demo can be accessed here.

SlowCOVIDNC is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
