Our Philosophy
ACE is guided by the following principles:
Learning to Learn
A huge part of college is LEARNING HOW TO LEARN. The rigors of college require new strategies for learning.
Process
Learning is a process that looks different for EVERY student.
Mistakes=Learning
Learners must have permission to fail; learning does not happen without mistakes.
Growth Mindset
Academic ability is not fixed; it can be built with effort and actions.
Stress, bye!
Reducing stress and building confidence make students more successful.
Independence
ACE’s goal is to instill strategies for independent learning that students take with them forever.
