This course is a survey of fieldbus systems found in the industrial setting. Topics include industrial data communication fieldbus and control networks for linking various control systems in an industrial environment. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate an understanding of fieldbus systems used to connect control systems.

This course introduces rendering the human figure with various drawing materials. Emphasis is placed on the use of the visual elements, anatomy, and proportion in the representation of the draped and undraped figure. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate competence in drawing the human figure. This course has been approved for transfer under the CAA and ICAA as a premajor and/or elective course requirement.

This course extends the study and rendering of the draped and undraped human figure. Emphasis is placed on the exploration of materials and approaches to drawing. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate creativity in the representation of the figure. This Technical Rescuer (TR) Trench block course will present the Technical Rescuer with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to satisfy the requirements of Chapter 8 (Trench) of NFPA 1006: Standard for Technical Rescue Professional Qualifications. This block course covers all five required parts of the Technical Rescuer Trench certification course series as outlined by the NC Fire and Rescue Commission: FIP-6101 TR Trench Rescue Operations, FIP-6102 TR Trench Rigging, FIP-6103 TR Trench Protective Systems, FIP-6104 TR Trench Load Stabilization, FIP-6105 TR Trench Victim Management. This transfers as one ''all or nothing'' block to the Office of State Fire Marshal (OSFM).
