Address: 137 South Post Road, Shelby, NC 28152
Phone:(704) 669-4228
Email: proctoring@clevelandcc.edu

Hours of Operation:
Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Overview of Services

A valid government-issued ID is required to test. Some testing may have additional ID requirements. To maintain testing integrity, and as a courtesy to others, please do not bring children. Cell phones and other electronic devices will be securely stored in a designated area if they are brought into the testing areas.

Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment System (CASAS) tests are provided to determine students’ reading and math skill levels. Certain programs such as, Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET), EMT, and others may require students to test at a minimum reading level as entrance to the program.

We are approved to deliver high-stakes exams for the following testing companies:

  • Meazure Learning– offers credentialing exams for EMTs, paramedics, personal trainers, and others. To view a complete list of offerings, visit Meazure Learning. To find out how to register and schedule an organization’s exam or see if sample tests are offered, click “learn more” to the right of the organization’s name and acronym.
  • Pearson Vue– Pearson VUE Authorized Testing Centers provide testing services to certification and licensure organizations, corporations, educational institutions, government agencies, and trade and professional associations. Watch this video, What To Expect in a Pearson VUE Test Center, to see what to expect when taking a Pearson VUE exam at our location.

College placement testing (RISE) information can be viewed on the College’s Assessments and Placement Testing page. Students should first meet with an advisor to determine if placement testing is needed before scheduling. Prior to testing, we encourage students to review the study materials provided on our website.

To request non-CCC proctoring, please complete and submit the request form. A $20.00 proctoring fee for each test administered must be paid before any test can be proctored. Fee payments should be paid to the Cleveland Community College Business Office, located in the Jack Hunt Campus Center, or by phone at (704) 669-4006.

TEAS testing is offered May-January each year and is required for ADN, PN and RAD applicants (may also be required for LPN to ADN applicants unless otherwise exempt). The cost to test is $87.00 per exam session, with an additional $20.00 proctoring fee for non-CCC students. Fee payments should be made to the Cleveland Community College Business Office, located in the Jack Hunt Campus Center, or by phone at (704) 669-4006. Get more information on our Health Science programs and view our TEAS test schedule.
