Cleveland Community College is a proud partner of the Carolina Cyber Network (CCN), a pioneering workforce development initiative. The CCN collaborates with select North Carolina cybersecurity educational institutions to address the increasing talent demands of the state’s public agencies and private businesses.
Upon successful completion of the program, students completing the IT – Network Technician program will have the following skill set:
- Design, implement, and administer security controls to manage and protect information systems and networks.
- Configure a variety of network infrastructure environments.
- Implement solutions based on company policy and industry best practices.
- Implement reliable secure transmission and delivery of data, voice, image, and video communications in business, industry and education.
- Create efficient and secure algorithms, processes, or solutions to solve computer-based problems.
Upon successful completion of the program, students completing the IT – Cyber Security program will have the following skill set:
- Design, implement, and administer security controls to manage and protect information systems and networks.
- Implement solutions based on company policy and industry best practices.
- Implement reliable secure transmission and delivery of data, voice, image and video communication in business, industry and education.
- Configure and secure network devices, implement VPNs, manage network access control, and protocols.
- Collect and preserve digital evidence, identify cybercrime activity, conduct investigations using industry-standard tools, and ensure evidence is handled correctly for use in legal proceedings.
