Medical Assisting
Medical Assistants are non-licensed allied health professionals who perform administrative and/or clinical tasks to support the work of physicians and other health professionals.
These degree and/or certificate programs accept a limited number of students per semester and/or academic year. Students must apply to these programs in addition to completing the CCC application for enrollment.

The Surgical Technology curriculum prepares individuals to assist in the care of the surgical patient in the operating room and to function as a member of the surgical team.

The Radiography curriculum prepares the graduate to be a radiographer, a skilled health care professional who uses radiation to produce images of the human body. CT and MRI Technology available upon completion of RAD program.
The Medical Sonography program is offered through a collaboration with Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute (CCCTI). While the degree is earned through CCCTI, all students accepted into this program at CCCTI will take the entirety of the program courses at Cleveland Community College (CCC).
Non-competitive programs do not require selective admissions application, and seats are available based on course enrollment.
Students must first complete Basic EMT. The bridging option offers credentialed EMT-Paramedics hours of Advanced Placement credit.

Nurse Aide I: Must be 16.5 years of age, One (1) semester program, Prepares student to provide activities of daily living skills, blood pressure and pulse monitoring, with emphasis on safety and infection control. Upon completion of course, students are eligible for listing on NC Nurse Aide I Registry
Nurse Aide II: Must be 16.5 years of age, current unexpired listing on NC Nurse Aide I Registry with no substantial findings of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation of property, High School Diploma or Equivalency, One (1) semester program offered in Spring, Prepares student to provide nursing activities approved by the NC Board of Nursing; including, Sterile Technique, Foley Catheter Insertion and Removal, Enteral Feedings, and Fingerstick Blood Glucose Monitoring. Upon completion of course students are eligible for listing on the NC Nurse Aid II Registry
Phlebotomy is a specialized area of the clinical laboratory practice. The specialization of phlebotomy has expanded rapidly along with the role of the phlebotomist who no longer just “take blood” but is recognized as a key player on the healthcare team.
